Installing second node in QC 11 Enterprise

I have set up a stand alone instance of QC 11 Enterprise. I am being asked to set up a secondary node to change to a high availability configuration for QC. I am getting the following error when i get to the:
Site Administration Database Schema section of the server configuration.

Database Schema "qcsiteadmin_db00" exists, but connection to it failed.

Has anyone set up QC in high availability or can someone point me in the direction of better documentation than the HP ALM Install guide?
