QC Automail Issue

Hello


I was wondering if I could use some help from the forum on the below issue.

ALM 11.52 <patch 4>

One of our user is basically getting defect mails from QC which the user was not supposed to get.On that specific project the defect automail was only set on "Assigned To" field and it was supposed to send a mail to user when a defect is assigned to them.However the user is getting some sporadic mails from QC though the user was either not an assigned to or detected by person.

Subject says "HP ALM Notification:Defect # has been modified".On that project the standard defect mail notification subject usually shows as "Domain.project name.Defect No" when the defects
are assigned to any users.

Apart from this there is no other workflow in place for sending defect mails and also this user doesn't have anyother filters on her ID for sending any specific mails.

The only thing was there were two alert rules in this project

1.When the defect status was changed to "Fixed",alert the associated Test instance --In this case send a mail to the "Responsible Tester"
2.When a test runs scuccessfully (status changes to 'Passed'),alert the linked defects -- "Assigned To"

The user is not a responsible tester on the defects which the mails were coming and doesn't have any trace to those defects
the linked defects also doesn't have the user as an assignee

However what I noticed was when those defects were changed to "Fixed",at the same time the user was receiving the mail,though the user doesn't have anything to do with those defects

Strange but the user was receiving mails which was not supposed to.So wondering if there are anyother things to verify in QC to determine the root cause of this issue.
