Hello everybody,
we are the Administrators for the HP ALM of a big german Company. Almost everday we have to migrate Projects from an ALM 11 to a new ALM 12 Instance using this "Database- and Repository- Singletask- Copymethod":
1.) Creating new Project in ALM12
2.) Rename the new Repositorydirectory
3.) Backup a Projectdatabase from ALM 11
4.) Restore it on the DB of ALM 12
5.) Copying the old ALM11 Repository in the new ALM12 Repositorydirectory
6.) Remove the new Project in ALM 12 and Restore it with the dbid.xml File
7.) Verify, repair and upgrade the restored Projekt
8.) Activate Project
Since i started to work on ALM i wonder if there is no other way to solve this task.
Today i started reading this forum and i only found posts of methods manual copying databases and restore them into the Targetdatabase. The same procedure for the Repositorys.
Our Sourceinstallation is ALM 11.0 and our Destination is our new ALM 12.01.186 (Patch1) (Versiondetails attached)
Is there any other (by a tool or a script) way to solve the migrations faster?
Regards
