We're running ALM Quality center 11 SP3 on Windows server 2008. A nightly backup is ran for project Dbs and repositories using TSM. The Quality center repository is 46GB in size, and it took almost 10 hours to finish the TSM backup, according to TSM backup log.
This is a problem because the backup needs to be done at night when nobody is using Quality center. But with this speed the backup is still running when users started to use QC early in the morning. And our user community is expanding, which makes the issue worse.
I checked with TSM team ans was told nothing is wrong on the TSM side.
Did anyone experience similar issue? What backup mechanism are recommended? Does HP have a best practice for ALM repository backup and management?
