Installing ALM 12.20 on an existing Microsoft SQL Database Server

Hello,

We have just recently purchased ALM 12.20 for our organization. We have an application server where we house our application's databases. Since the server has Windows Server 2008 and Microsoft SQL Database server, we're planning on installing ALM on the same server.

My question is, will installing ALM on the same server as our application corrupt the existing databases on the server. The installation guide says that ALM stores 3 types of schemas: Site Administration schema, Lab_Project, and Project schemas. Are these stored in tables in SQL server or are they seperate databases?
