Does creating new project by copying data from other project works

Hi 

We have a project A of size (db size 200gb+ , Repositry size 55gb) . We need to create a new project with same exact data of Project A. So does create project by copying data of existing project option works for these projects with huge data?? Please let me know we are on alm 11
