We are working on setting up the first ALM project in our organization. Two of our users are experiencing some very odd behavior in the application. When they try to login to the project an Access Denied error pops up.. BUT if they wait for 20 seconds or so it let's them into the application. Once in they can view defects without a problem, but if they edit/update a defect and try to save it a "Specified cast is not valid" error pops up and the update isn't saved. We have several security grops or roles in the project and two of them have two seperate users having this problem.. Everyone else in the groups can access it just fine.
I've had the user restart her PC, I completely removed them from ALM and added them back in, and I even had her try it on the PC of her coworker who can access the project. She still got the errors after all of that.. So I don't think it's a PC issue and I don't think it's necessarely a permissions issue in ALM since it does let her into the project.
