Problem:
We were in the process of creating a new project in QC from an existing project and we want to retain a lot of the history, test cases, etc. There was an error message; the project was active. The pop-up had the option to deactivate the project, but it is still an active project with some residual bug chores to close and retest.
Question:
If no users are logged into the source project, can we temporarily deactivate the project we want to copy and then reactivate it after the new project is created? Would deactivating and then reactivating. a project impact any of the metrics for usage. Would any counters and history fields be reset?
