We've got a project that is using a custom status of "Deploy to Test" to indicate a defect is ready to retest. I'd like to have QC send the email notification that the Alert Rules setting sends to the Responsible Tester if you turn on the alert for when a defect status is changed to "Fixed". This email tells the responsible testers that a defect linked to one of their tests has been fixed. The email will list every test assigned to that responsible tester that is linked to that defect. Right now we send a defect email, but it just has a link back to the defect and then it's difficult to get back to the actual test instance. I like the Alert Notification because it's got those links right in the body of the email. Is that a specific type of email object, or can I change the alert rule to use "Deploy to Test" as opposed to "Fixed"?
